Volunteer

Give your time. Change a trajectory.

Training and capital only go so far without people willing to show up — to teach, mentor, and lend a hand where it's needed most.

Why Volunteer With Us

Every skill we teach, every business we help fund, started with someone willing to give their time — an instructor patient enough to break down a craft step by step, a mentor who kept showing up after the training ended. Volunteering here isn't a one-off gesture; it's the thing that actually makes a training program become a livelihood.

Volunteer Opportunities

Skills Trainer / Instructor

Teach a practical skill — tailoring, bag making, business basics, or another craft — to a cohort of beneficiaries.

Mentor

Pair with a beneficiary or small group for ongoing guidance beyond the classroom — career advice, accountability, encouragement.

Community Outreach Volunteer

Join outreach visits to schools and underserved communities, helping distribute materials and run activities for children.

Event & Logistics Support

Help plan and run training sessions, outreach events, and program graduations — set-up, coordination, and on-the-day support.

Remote / Skilled Volunteer

Contribute remotely with skills like content writing, design, photography, or admin support — no need to be in Abuja.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need prior experience to volunteer?

No — many of our opportunities (outreach support, event logistics, remote skilled roles) don't require prior nonprofit experience. Trainer and mentor roles benefit from relevant skill or work experience, but a willingness to teach and show up consistently matters more than credentials.

How much time is expected of volunteers?

It varies by role. Trainers and mentors typically commit to a full training cohort (weeks to a few months), while outreach and event support are often single-day or occasional commitments. We'll be upfront about the expected time when we follow up.

Is volunteering paid?

No, our volunteer roles are unpaid. Some roles may cover reasonable transport costs for outreach events — we'll confirm this directly with you if relevant.

Do I need to be based in Abuja?

For in-person roles (training, mentoring, outreach), yes — our current programs run in and around Abuja. Remote/skilled volunteer roles (writing, design, admin) are open to volunteers anywhere.

What happens after I submit the registration form?

Our team reviews submissions and reaches out by email or phone to discuss fit, availability, and next steps. Response times may vary — please be patient with us as a small team.
